As Covid restrictions have eased, I know many of you are anxious to return to some form of socializing. You've probably been hiking and skiing away from the crowds, but wouldn't it be great to gather with those of like-mind safely?
Whether you want to improve your ski skills, learn to write, discover the native trees of our region, or play a game of boisterous bingo, March offers these safe social activities in Incline Village.
M.O.M. Ski Clinic at Diamond Peak
Thursday mornings, January 28 - April 8th
Skiing with the family can be challenging if you haven’t found the time to hone your skills. Join other moms this winter at Diamond Peak and improve your skiing technique.
Moms On Mountain (M.O.M) ski clinics are organized through the IVGID Recreation Department and taught by Diamond Peak’s PSIA Certified Instructors. All clinics teach skill improvement, skiing tactics and offer personal feedback, while you enjoy the mountain with other moms.
Groups are divided by skiing ability and are limited to 5 students per instructor. Enjoy the fresh mountain air and improve your turns, while meeting new faces.

Arbor Day Tree Hunt
March 19 to April 23rd
Sierra State Parks Foundation is kicking off the 2021 Arbor Day Tree Hunt on March 19, 2021. This is a great way to meet others from the Lake Tahoe Community, while exploring the local tree species native to this region.
The Tree Hunt will start March 19th and run through April 23rd. Participants will be asked to locate each week’s highlighted tree, which will be posted on the SSPF website and on social media.
Take a 'selfie' with the featured tree, and then post it on their social media, tagging @SierraStateParksFoundation on Instagram and Sierra State Parks Foundation on Facebook.
Each tree selfie will be considered as one entry toward the Arbor Day raffle. Winners will be announced on Arbor Day, April 30th.
SSPF invites people of all ages to participate in the Arbor Day Tree Hunt! Winners will receive a prize package mailed to them. The contest is open to all people, all ages.

Sierra Nevada University in Incline Village is pleased to welcome Wendy J. Fox who will lead a workshop with other well-known poets and writers from across the country. Participants will enjoy readings and will have the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with other writers.
Wendy J. Fox's first book, The Seven Stages of Anger & Other Stories was finalist for the Colorado Book Award, and her debut novel The Pull of It was named a top pick by Displaced Nation. Her most recent novel If The Ice Had Held is a Buzzfeed recommended read and a grand prize winner from the Santa Fe Writers Project.
“In this tale of tragedy, family secrets, and hidden identities, Wendy J. Fox weaves–with taut prose and an unflinching eye–a web of intersecting lives whose deceptions, disillusionments, and desires capture your attention and then your heart. She has a gift for writing the pulse of real people.”

Keeping the Thursday night tradition alive!! What started as Incline Village's best BINGO night has transformed into one of the most ridiculous and outrageous BINGO night in all of Northern Nevada. Maybe even anywhere in the West. It's loud, it'll put a smile on your face, and a solid amount of beer in your belly. Gift Cards are awarded to the winner of each round as well.
We've just received another storm so we expect to be skiing throughout the spring. Real estate inventory continues to drop and there has probably never been a better time to list your property for sale.
